Here is a list of places where climbers are generally not welcome:
- Camp Jack Rocks: This is located on the Happy Jack Highway (Wyoming State Highway 210) near the border of Laramie County and Albany County. The three major formations are obvious on the north side of the highway, between a locked green gate (The former Camp Jack road) and North Crow Reservoir Road (Laramie County road 207, I believe).
The landowner has had several run-ins with rock climbers, and he told me that "[he] just [doesn't] like them on [his] deeded, private land." I didn't check with the Laramie County courthouse on the matter of ownership, but I may sometime. It used to be state land, but you never know when that gets deeded around here. The area was never posted at the time of our talk. The climber I was with at the time of our meeting thought that said landowner wore a pistol under his shirt.
